New Gravenhurst

We chose to re-make Gravenhusrt cause we know a lot about Gravenhurst and we have lived in Gravenhurst are whole life’s. Also it’s a great town and we think making it into a city would make it even greater!
Some things we added to are new Gravenhurst are a Mall, Strip Mall, Movie Theatre, Hospital, Rest Bar, Fire Department, Wal-Mart, West 49, Garage. We added these new stores to Gravenhurst because it is very convenient to have those shops around because seeing Gravenhurst as it is you would have to drive 30 or an hour to get to those places. Also there are quite a few teenagers in Gravenhurst and having a movie theatre and a west 49 are great for teenagers. We even have a camp ground and a wharf for everyone and family. The camp ground is an awesome place for having fun and hanging out with family.
Some things we kept the same are the lakes, Wharf, Opera house and schools we kept the lakes because they are beautiful, and Gravenhusr is pretty much know for the lakes and the wharf. Also the opera house has a lot of history to it. And there kind of has to be schools in Gravenhusrt so why not keep them the same.
Some environmental concerns are we put the camp ground and the Wharf away from all the store’s and factory because say your camping or your out on the lake and you look over and all you see is smoke coming out of the factory it not that nice, or your camping and out taking a walk and all you can hear is would you like to supersize that. Well we wouldn’t so that’s why it’s so far away from the store’s.

RECREATION / ENTERTAINMENT / OPEN SPACES :
A few good features for Gravenhurst are a Movie Theatre, Mall, Strip Mall and a Wal-Mart. We made all these’s stores close together so that when people are shopping and they want to switch stores and they only have to walk to the next store instead of driving 15, 30 to 1 hour away.
RESIDENTIAL SECTIONS :
Our neighbourhood’s location ate near the two schools, Gravenhurst Beechgrove and GHS. There also near the park and lake. Why did we put them there?? We put them there because it’s for the bus drivers so they don’t have to drive far away and also on the kid’s lunch break they can supply walk to the lake or park to eat there lunch. YES there are different types of living styles there are homes, condos, cottages, town homes and apartments.

Video Game

I thought the video game article was interesting. A driving arcade game called Death Race was released. Players had to earn points by running over stick people and figures. The game stared violence in video games that had been continued to this very day. And to you I recommend ROCK BAND because you need to get better and I am better then you. You will see soon I promise you.

History

Fathers Of Confederation
Tomas D’Arcy McGee

Tomas D’Arcy McGee was born at Carlingford, Ireland, between Belfast & Dublin on April 13, 1825. In 1842 widespread hardship drove him with lots of others to America. He had an Irishman’s he wanted to talk & to write. He did them well. Tomas D’Arcy went into Journalism. In a few years he returned & worked on various Irish newspapers. Until his connection with the 1848 rebels forced him to flee to New York, where he again started writing. In 1857 Tomas was included by Irish Roman Catholics to come to Montreal to find the New Era. From Journalism he moved into politics, representing Montreal West, & found himself working with George Brown. He loyally supported the British connection & denounced Fenian extremists, near incurring their lasting hatred. Tomas D’Arcy McGee was one of the first public people to see clearly the danger that might occur to Canada at the conclusion of the American Civil War. He toured the British Provinces, fanning with his passionate oratory, the fires of patriotism for a great new nation. The only alternative to the disaster. Similar appeals appeared in his beautiful writings, historical, political and poetical. His efforts entitled him to a place in the first federal cabinet but recognizing Macdonald’s problems in the meeting religious. McDonald sent a note to Tomas D’Arcy McGee “The difficulties of adjusting representation in the cabinet from the several provinces were great and embarrassing. You’re disinterested and patriotic conduct and I speak of Tupper as well as yourself had certainly the effect of removing those difficulties.” McDonald planned to make Tomas D’Arcy McGee commissioner of patents and so provide him leisure for literary work. This was all cut so short in the early hours of April 7, 1868, when Tomas D’Arcy McGee was returning form late session that was when he was shot in front of his own house by a young Fenian Man, Patrick James Whalen.

Polar Bears

Polar Bears live along the shores and on sea ice in the icy cold Arctic. Polar bears primarily eat seals, Sometimes the Polar bear stalks it's prey. It may see a seal lying near it's breathing hole and slowly move toward it, then charge at it, bitting it's head or grabbing it with it's big claws. Only humans prey on Polar bears. Polar bears have been known to swim 100 miles (161 kilometters) at a stretch.

Narrative

Kristyy& Brittanyy Riding Together

One day Kristy and I decided to go for a horse ride with Josie and Prince. It was 1:48 in the afternoon with decide to go at 2:15 together. We got to the farm and we got our horses and put the saddle and bridle on them. I was riding Josie and Kristy was riding Prince they are both amazing horses they love each other. Josie is 4 years old and Prince is 2 years old. We started by warming them up so they are no so jumpy so we put them on the lunge line. Prince was first a lunge line help horses calm down. When we were done we put Josie out on the lunge line she does listen to you put not as good as Price. When we were all down we went out on our trail ride we usually ride for 2 to 2 and a half hours. It was one hour into our ride and I notice something in the corner of my eye it was something black and brown. It was a huge brown bear Kristy and I ran our horses as fast as we could but the bear was running after us . We lost the bear but there was one problem we got lost we had no idea where we were. I called the guy that own’s the farm and said “Can you blow you’r air horn off”. So he did we listened and listened and then “RRRRRRRRRRRR”. The horn went off we ran very fast and he did it again to make sure we will find our way back. We found our way back and we both said to each other “LETS MAKE SURE WE ALWAYS LOOK BACK AND MAKE SURE NOTHING IS THERE”. Then we unsaddled our horses and groom the and bath them. Then Kristy took me home so I could relax from that crazy day.
